Yea I mean I’m all for waiting to see how Next year goes when we aren’t so young, but if this keeps up then I’ll take a true college basketball coach over just an ace recruiter.

At this point, does it matter if we get Lewis and Watford? Is anyone excited to possibly be on the bubble again next year?
If we win the next 2 games and go to the NCAA Tournament then this was a successful season.
I don't expect that, IMHO, but if it happens then this season is successful at this point in our program. Now, if next year, with a roster filled with experienced talent, we don't make the tournament........yea, excitement wanes.

I had set the bar so low for tonight, too. Even after the illness/7 guy stuff, I still fully expected to lose a close game.
The last 10 minutes were just completely and absolutely unbelievable.

Dude you're constantly negative. To the Lewis and Watford issue...Both of those kids are dogs so I want them here. U also can't let instate kids go elsewhere either, that shite set us back under grant.

Against the best team in the league who is also your biggest rival?
That’s concerning to say the least.

I'm a realist. I don't believe in sunshine pumping just because I'm a fan of a program. I'm not blinded by love of a team.

Are either of them the next LeBron? No? Then they aren't worth keeping a coach you'd otherwise fire.

Alright, moving on.
3 games left and probably need to win 2 of them to feel good heading to St Louis. Sure would be nice to defy recent history and come out with our hair on fire Saturday.
Oh well, guess we'll see. I'm mentally prepared for the.......worst.

At the end of the day, if we haven't made the tournament in 4 years under Avery, Kira and Watford won't come here anyways.

Yeah lose Saturday and they might as well start selling NIT tickets.

Yea, this is all going to work itself out.
This season and next season Avery has to make the NCAAT. That was the timeline, the pieces are in place, we're knocking at the door and next year we bring back a NCAAT caliber roster.
If we don't get it done he won't be here anymore. If we do get it done then we won't have the need to want him fired. I just hate talking about "well when we don't get in after losing the next 3". That might very well happen, but it hasn't yet. We can be frustrated about tonight (really fvckin frustrated) but until the other things happen and the negative things snowball I'm not going to start planning out the next coach search.
We've been to 1 NCAA Tournament in the last 12 years. If we go this season, it is a success and I will be happy as a pig in shite. That's really the bottom line at this point.

We just looked so bad tonight. I can't get over it. I don't understand

Tennessee beat Florida to improve to 20-7, so there’s that.

This quote is as bad as anything I've read this season. I just don't understand. This should have gotten guys benched tonight.

We should be embarrassed with that performance. We should also be embarrassed how shitty our arena is compared to theirs. That's a real basketball arena and actually creates a homecourt advantage.
