I thought this same thing with Hall early on. Giddens still has two years, so I'm not going to make any career judgements on him yet.
I'm personally not that high on Kobe Brown, but I'm surprised we haven't offered him. According to a poster in the recruiting thread, Brown's dad wants him to go out of state. We do have a couple CB picks already for Brown though.
We're gonna get Wiseman, so we might not have room for Brown anyways.

Butler will start , but regardless next year we can put some versatile lineups on the floor. If we get to 19 wins we aren't getting screwed , our resume this year is too solid. We ve done what the committee wants and the Q1 and Q2 wins are there.

LOL - yes please

I don't think Butler will start immediately. I know the staff likes him a lot, but it's hard for me to see him getting a backcourt spot over Jones, Petty, and Ingram.
Mack will start imo. He was playing over 30 minutes a game at Texas before he got suspended and averaged 15 points and 5 boards on 46% shooting and 39% from 3.

Wishful thinking or do you think it is a legit possibility?

Hell yeah, we are!

I had faith Hall would turn it around with his foul troubles, as most of his fouls were apart of his BLOCK EVERYTHING mentality that young shot-blockers often have. Giddens on the other hand gets his fouls in a multitude of ways. Plus, when a guy is that big and strong, they rarely get the benefit of the doubt with the whistle. There have been several bad fouls calls on Giddens this year due to Giddens girth and strength. I've mentioned this before, but when a post player can't be (or refuses to be) backed down or knocked down, they're going to rack up some fouls.

Wishful thinking, but I don't think it's insane. Recruiting writers say he really likes Avery, but Kentucky will be very hard to beat.
It's worth keeping an eye on. Certainly more legitimate than the Bagley offer.

U think we re getting Watford and Lewis... Encouraging though h if Wiseman is seriously looking at us. I've heard he's Kentucky's to lose but I wouldn't mind being shocked .

I try not to get excited about recruits until they are signed, but I think that if they had to sign today, we'd get Watford and Kira.

Ferguson broke me from being excited about a commitment. I now hold my excitement until its signed and official.

I don't think Butler starting at PG is a good bet, but neither are Jones or Ingram IMO. Jones, while the potential is certainly there, is a huge TO risk as a full-time PG currently. He'd have to drastically improve his decision-making consistency and ball-handling. Ingram just isn't a full-time PG in my mind for some of the same reasons Jones isn't yet. And then you have a player who is definitely a PG, but also a freshman who hasn't played at this level. The PG position will be interesting to watch next year.
As for Mack, I certainly think he's starter worthy and it wouldn't surprise me if he starts, but so are a lot of the players we have on the roster. The 2-5 positions will be ridiculously stacked next year.

I Auburn lost their best big man (McLemore) for the season vs South Carolina. That's a pretty big loss for them. He was a good rebounder, shot blocker, defender. (almost as good as the legendary Bola)

Gene, is there a good free place to park that's within a reasonable walking distance of the arena? Looking for places to park for the game Wednesday.

Bruce Pearl said today that Auburn won’t have any more contact practices so they can avoid any more injuries. Idk if that’s gonna help or hurt them.

Probably means they'll come out and hit every jump shot vs us.

Back around 06 I went to watch auburn play south Carolina and it wasn't to bad to get in and out of. Had a good friend that played a lot for auburn back then (grew up a bama fan)

They’re gonna hit every shot regardless. I swear there’s some sort of magic or something going around in Auburn. They hit every shot in their arena against us and they always find a way to beat us in football in JHS. It’s scary. Probably bc of all those cults they have like the spirit ring one
