Eh, it wasn't that poor a performance. KY played the best they've played in several games in a must-win home game for them. We were within striking distance with the ball, down 3 with just a few minutes left after getting out rebounded by almost 20.
Definitely a game we should have won with some better effort on the glass though.

We executed perfectly fine on offense for 37 minutes. I have no explanation for that crap in the paint though. Kentucky isnt much bigger than us. We won't get anywhere with that crap effort.

It came down to rebounding and free throws. UK made the shots and won the 50/50 balls.
We played hard (until we caught a bad case of the stupid over the last 90 seconds)

we were just down 3 at kentucky with 4 minutes and played bad late. Not the end of the world.

But sexton looked super slow today. Something has to be bothering them. UK isn't like the old teams where they have Great defenders. They're good but not nearly as good as they looked today

Yea, it sucks cause we had a great shot, but Kentucky played their best game in a month and we had a shot late and couldn't finish.

I wouldn't say UK played all that well. They seemingly missed all their first shots. We just allowed them 2nd and 3rd opportunities every time down the court. Coach Ponytail should bulk our guys up some more.

I'm convinced we whip Kentucky on a neutral court. My be bitter or irrational. But even after today those role players shot WAY better than they typically do.
