Agreed, but hall isn't chopped liver either at this point. Scouts do like him...That much I know
I said he needs to develop a 4 game, not that it was impossible
If you are saying NBA scouts are seriously viewing him as a NBA C, well I just don't believe you

he has very long arms and has a 34 or so vertical leap. he would need to add some meat to play a 5

An UGa win puts us as the #3 seed after tonight, a loss and we stay #5.
When Aub loses to Ken, SCar and us and we beat UK on Sat, we'll be in front of them.

AU is a 9.5 point favorite tonight against Kentucky.
I’m well aware of how each of their seasons are going and that the game is in Auburn, but that high of a number still surprised me.

Why would the FBI make it public? I assume most people end up cutting deals. At that point what obligation does FBI have for making it public?
As an AU fan I'm not too worried. Under Armour hasn't been involved so we may just be Chuck Person related which isn't that bad to be honest

Maybe this falls under the Freedom of Information act.
I think all schools should be worried. No telling what has been uncovered besides the obvious stuff.

Pretty much none unless it is used in court filings. They aren't going to release evidence provided in response to a subpoena or seized via search warrant. I've been working almost 20 years for an entity with a very similar mission to the ones involved in this case and to the best of my memory we've never, ever released collected evidence. To the contrary, great steps are taken to keep a lot of it secret (stuff filed under seal, filings redacted, etc).
Now, having said that there are a couple of ways schools could get nailed. The first is pretty obvious - the cases go to trial and the evidence is presented in open court. The second involves the plea deal. Usually, those involve admitting to specific acts. Using Person for example, the news will simply say "he pleaded guilty" but the detail may say that "defendant admits that on XX/XX/XXXX he act to defraud the government by meeting with representatives of Austin Wiley and pay them $15,000." You've got an under oath admission of NCAA violations, so the evidence really isn't needed at that point.
Hopefully, the NCAA will recognize that conduct like Person's was done for personal benefit, not sanctioned in any way by the school, and limit the punishment to something like vacating the wins where ineligible players participated.

I really think Louisville, Arizona and Kansas are about to get smacked around. I'm not sure Auburn or Alabama will get anything, unless something else has come to light behind the scenes.

If the public info is accurate, the thing that saved us is that our guy was so freaking greedy he kept all the money for himself. The biggest single piece of evidence saying this is the case is the fact that Colin Sexton is still playing but Wiley and Purifoy have to sit for a year.
I also think AU is not looking at much trouble (and they shouldn't be). They played two ineligible players last year, so I expect the NCAA to do SOMETHING on general principals but if it is just vacating wins from last season would anyone really give a frick? No titles are involved and we all know who won the games.
Louisville should be well and truly fricked (pun intended). They need the worst possible sanction. With this coming right on the heels of the hooker scandal the death penalty really should be on the table.
Ole Miss football is downright saintly compared to what Pitino was doing.

From my understanding, he was paid to set up the meeting with Colin's dad. Colin's dad was bribed, but he didn't bite on said bribe.

That's my understanding as well, Baker kept everything I believe. We did everything we could do and the NCAA reinstated Collin . The whole crux of this is the shoe companies and their relationship with summer basketball. Adidas schools are the ones who have the most to worry about

From the excerpt, there wasn't much said after it states that Baker accepted money to give to Sexton's dad. It doesn't say that the dad refused or anything of that nature. Sounded like this was more of just a side note. I'd say it's premature to think we're completely out of the woods he just yet.

Baker was also never arrested...That's a key development

In addition I think Sexton's dad repaid the cost of a meal. Our compliance people would have been all over it had their been anything more.

I know we've beaten this to death, but watching the UK-AU game, it is blatantly obvious we need a new arena. We have enough extremely passionate basketball fans that can make it a true home-court advantage.

Auburn has serious offensive issues with long, athletic teams that can switch everything out front and are competent on defense.
Posted on 2/14/18 at 9:43 pm to Gary Busey
I think we ll know more about the arena situation after the season. We could build a new arena next to Coleman and move in after it's finished. The problem is I think the locker-room is brand new at Coleman so who knows.
Posted on 2/14/18 at 9:47 pm to Bamainva40
I expect some sort of athletics administration building will be constructed first. Moving those offices out of Coleman. Then basketball would possible play a season in Birmingham, while a new arena if built on the current site.
