one in the tourney!

Kessens started 22 games in CAJ's first year
Technically yes, but he wasn't getting anything near starter minutes. He only averaged 16.5 minutes per game. That was barely more than Hall who hardly played until conference play and was constantly in foul trouble.
I think Bola, Jimmie, Hall, and even Riley wouldn't have left many minutes for another big that year.

Avery has had thus far (Coleman, King, and Kessens) have already had better production (in most cases far better) than all of Grant's transfers (sans Lacey) did at their new school.
Jacobs averaged over 10 per game at Georgia Tech. In the ACC, that's a lot more impressive than Coleman and Kessens. I think Coleman's Samford stats are actually disappointing. He should absolutely dominant that conference. I don't remember anything about the other Grant transfers, so I can't speak to their stat lines.
There's a reason Coleman and Kessens ended up at Samford and FIU instead of say Memphis or UAB. King is probably the only transfer Avery was disappointed to have leave. I highly doubt Grant wanted Pollard, Jacobs, or Lacey to go.

I don't think AJj is as bad as a player as some of the people on this board,

He's a lot better than me too. And I, personally, think he should start shooting all his shots, including 3's, as big, looping floaters. He hardly misses those ever, although I'm astonished every time they go in.

I'll cede on Jacobs, but you should know that Jacobs was not a prized commodity for GT. One of my best friends is a GT fan and he was panned more for his atrocious defense there than he was here. Even counting him as better than Coleman and Kessens, it's hard to argue that any of Grant's other transfers were better than those 3 after the post-transfer results.
If I ranked him behind King and Lacey among the Grant/Johnson transfers the list would still look like:
1. King (Johnson)
2. Lacey (Grant)
3. Jacobs (Grant)
4. Coleman (Johnson)
5. Kessens (Johnson)
6. Pollard (Grant)
.
.
.
The Remainders: Gueye, Hankerson, Key, Eblen, Engstrom etc. (Grant)

You really hated him didn't you

Bulldogs getting a player back this evening that didn't play the first time
quote:
Despite this being MSU’s second time facing Alabama this season, it’ll be the first time Weatherspoon and Sexton have shared the floor. Sexton, who most believe will be a high pick in June’s NBA Draft, didn’t play in a 68-62 Alabama win over MSU in Tuscaloosa back on Jan. 20. Sexton was out with an abdominal injury. His return makes this a completely different game than the two teams’ initial encounter says MSU head coach Ben Howland.

I wasn't upset in the least when he left, but when you see his name in a list including Gueye, Engstrom, Eblen, Key (Algie) and Hankerson and take into account what he did at FIU, and well he doesn't look so bad

Tonight and Saturday are huge. Both Q1 games.

I didn't hate him
. I actually wanted him to stay at the time. I thought he'd be a conference player of the year type of guy. I'm not sure if he'll be a first team all conference pick. I thought they'd be a better team too.

Engstrom may have been the worst big I have ever seen. Gueye wasn't far behind, but he'd at least grab the occasional rebound or accidentally make a hook shot.

Gueye played pretty good defense for the most part. Nick Jacobs was solid on offense.

He was solid defensively, though he had terrible issues with getting into foul trouble. Offensively, I don't think we've ever had a worse post player. He averaged 37% from the floor (pretty much all by the rim), had the worst TO to Points ratio I've ever seen (pretty much 1-1). I think he had to have broken the single-season and career record for illegal screens in his 1.5 seasons with us.

CAJ had the same issue with Hale on a smaller scale.
Thank god Hale is gone. My least favorite bama basketball player of all time.

Hard for me to choose between the 2. Gueye was much better defensively, but much worse offensively. Which is pretty sad considering Engstrom was a pretty bad post scorer as well.

A Jacobs-Gueye combination would've been a solid player.

Gueye threw up the hardest bricks I've ever seen a big man shoot.
