I have full confidence in him like when he hire Bohannon as our baseball coach with a air tight coaching search

The OKC fans are getting tired of him. If he can’t handle it in the NBA, he may want to go back to coaching college. That’s a longshot but I would love for it to happen

Key should come off the bench and not be a starter

Crean and Matta are at least possible name hires. If not one if them, I think it'll be mid-major roulette

Once year 3 is in the books we will better understand the deal on the current HC. As of today he can do less with more or less.

Just got home and saw the score. WTF? Glad I went fishing even if they weren't biting.

Remember when I said I was more excited about basketball this year than football? Never mind.

FWIW, our only good win now has lost all 3 SEC games

If Texas A&M has been full strength, we’d be 8-7 (0-3) right now

Is there an SEC team we know we could beat now?

I'm pretty sure that answer is an emphatic no.

I'm sorely disappointed, and if we don't make the tourney this year, we aren't ever going to make it with Avery.

Yesterday I was saying South Carolina is the only team I feel confident in beating. They look pretty bad....but so do we. And they have a guy who can actually coach. So you can never count them out of any game. I think we win close since it’s at home but I’m not confident at all.

Some of the stats in this game are unbelievable:
Petty in 29m No rebounds and one assist.
Petty and Key shot 1-15 in 49 minutes.
Giddens and GSmith had more fouls than point or rebounds put together.
GSmith played more minutes than Hall and Hall was not in foul trouble.
Shaffer 2 TO's in 3 minutes of PT.
24 points in the first and 22 in the second half. Football teams do better.

Cecil just tweeted that their flight is delayed and they are still sitting at the Coliseum.

Maybe everyone except Sexton could bus over to Atlanta for the game Monday and see what the standard for Alabama athletics is

I am not convinced this team makes a tournament of any kind

It’s NCAA tourney or bust. If we miss the tourney and get invited to the NIT, I hope Avery turns it down. There’s no good at all that comes from us going to the NIT and losing in the first round like always to some small well coached team like Richmond. And no, playing in the NIT isn’t gonna help the returning players get any better for next year. They’ll play like they don’t care and won’t even try to get better.

Like I said, it’s NCAA or bust, and that’s the way I’d treat it with Avery’s job. Last year Avery made shirts for the team that said something about making the ncaa tourney and we missed it. So that’s 1 failed year according to the expectations. And now if he misses it this year, that’s 2 failed years out of 3 with no signs of improvement. If we don’t make the ncaa tourney, it’s time to move on from this staff. Maybe keep Pettway since he’s a good recruiter.

Other than playing Avery Jr., Avery's goal targets are the biggest red flags about his coaching as it suggests he doesn't have a pulse on CBB

You don't take over a limited roster w no offensive development and make the NCAAT in 1-2 years. Even year 3 is a generally a stretch year in that situation

Yes, some teams turn things around much faster. They also generally have a combo of returning talent + recruiting that makes that possible that Alabama didnt
