I was thinking about the Lacy/Franklin situation. GB could be looking to use them in a tandem or they could be looking for a featured back and a back-up. If they are used as a tandem, I hope it's not like Ingram with the Saints where every time he's in the game the defense knows it's a run.

The starter dictates the style. When you are using Sproles and Thomas more in the passing game than running, it tips your hand when you put Ingram in there. It's a bizzaro situation that works perfectly for the Saint, but Ingram/Thomas/Sproles would seem to be a more traditional depth/rotation.
If Lacy is the starter, he will dictate the running back chain. There will be no short yardage back, that will be the starter. And offers enough as a 3rd down back blocking to not be stuck on 2 downs. Franklin will likely be his true backup, and DuJuan Harris as a situational scat back. They were trying to dump Starks today, so I imagine he's gonna be cut before the season. Alex Green will have to do something amazing to stick around.
