I was a little nervous everytime they gave RF that shotgun. Gun safety didn't appear to be high on anyone's priority list.

I just watched some of the recruit interviews from the Opening on ESPN, and i'm fairly convinced that Bateman has more teeth than a crocodile. I don't know how that translates to football field acumen, but i can't imagine it hurts.

Good for at least a 5% bump in completions and +25 in red-zone awareness, by my calculations.

has to be good for intimidation too. Pop in an alka seltzer and have a toothy ute foaming at the mouth under center, defenses will cower

the official site lists hubbard at 248 and dickson at 262. hubbard was listed as 227 during recruitment, and dickson was 248, so both are progressing well in the weight program

BOL will have the numbers when they weigh in at fall camp (right around the corner )

Dickson is going to be upshaw 2.0 before it's said and done

A lot of people forgetting about this kid. He would've earned more PT last season if he had gotten a better grasp of the defense. With a year of learning the schemes under his belt, I look for him to approach double digit sacks this season.

Dickson on one side, Hubbard on the other. shite, who wants to try and figure out how to block that?

I'd forgotten about him since he dropped that pass from AJ in the South Carolina game.

i got those figures from rolltide.com under the football roster. i have no idea when those measurements were taken, they could both be bigger by now.

I think the measurements on rolltide.com are from spring camp. Should be updated again when fall camp starts.

They both move really well too. Dickson was a headhunter on kickoff coverage last year and it's een said that hubbard is athletic enough to be one of the linebackers left on the field standing up in nickel. 6'6" 250 pounders that can cover and rush are very rare specimens. I'm expecting big things from our front 7 this year in the way of the pass rush. While we lost some size and experience the athleticism has upgraded...guys like the 2 mentioned, pagan, fanning..BAMA STAAAAACKKKKED with young defensive talent

Mark my words gentlemen. On novenber 1st 2013, the topic of debate will be, "Is this defense better than the '11 squad?"
