Poster on TideSports said he heard the same thing a few days ago. Sucks if true because I could really see him being a starting corner for us in a couple years, but what can you do?

I'm hoping we didn't completely pull his offer but told him that he won't be allowed to sign an LOI and he may still have a spot in the summer if he takes care of academics.

I've been the only person consistently telling people "South Panola =/= OM lock. Conner wants to come to UA" for 2 years.

NOW, here is where I stop short of calling him a lock. I have love for Ole Miss. I do. Their city/fans have been amazing to me so I cheer for them when they aren't playing Alabama. Say all that to say this....THEY ARE CHEATING LIKE A MOTHERfrickER. And God bless em, because everyone else is cheating too, but they are going balls to the wall with it. They haven't had to deal with the probation that we or auburn or USC or schools like that have, so they aren't being very cautious about it. So, with all THAT being said....why is everyone getting paid but Conner? I don't know. I'm not sure why they are pulling out all of the stops for out of state kids but not locking down the kid in their back yard. I think it could still happen. We'll see. And if it does, all bets are off. But Conner prefers Alabama. Period.

There is no fence around Batesville. If kids want out they get out. The OM pipeline is overblown because, for all of the "USP is THE MISSISSIPPI powerhouse" bullshite, being the powerhouse of Mississippi highschool football doesn't mean shite. The kids aren't prepared for college ball. So coaches aren't that interested. Did we want Snoop Brassell? Yes. Snoop was interested too. But he didn't grow up a Bama fan. Tony did.

If the rumors about Cook are true I hope we fill his spot with Bell.
