I plan on doing a comprehensive 2014 QB evaluation before the week is out.
Everyone with QB questions post some names.
I'm hoping to do 10-12 in the next few days.
I'll do whoever you want.
Disclaimer: I don't like analyzing players without Junior film. Kids can grow by leaps and bounds between their Sophomore and Junior years. Giving a Junior analysis based on Sophomore film is unfair to the player. Hopefully I won't have to do that

Ha. Tell him to submit Junior film and we'll talk.

I see where this spelling that LSU fans are using is coming from now.

I would, but it's only a few minutes long and runs a very ball control system.
And I'll play: Michael O'Conner, 2014 FL QB
Recently reclassified from 2015 to 2014 as a December grad. Moved from Canada to Tennessee for better exposure for football, and now has transferred to FL's IMG Academy(which is coached by Chris Weinke). His Sophomore/Junior offense was of option variety, so his stats weren't great(7 passing, 6 rushing) as a QB. Doesn't consider himself runner though, just that he has ability to.
Bama wants to see him in camp before they offer, which sounds like they intend to. Wants to commit after the camp circuit ends so he can focus on his future team's recruiting class.

Does O'Connor have film? Based off early reports we seem to be really high on the kid from Georgia and one from Oklahoma. Their names escape me for the moment due to me being lazy and on my phone, but they are going to be the first 2 I will analyze.
I'm still really high on EJ Moss by the way. He showed natural ability and mechanics as a Freshman. Finding Sophomore and Junior film on him is as easy as finding the lost city of Atlantis FWIW.

I really want to see our offense in the hands of a legit dual threat QB. For all the stupid shite people say about our offense being boring and conservative, we score a lot of points and have a lot of big plays, and I think it would just add another dimension.

Game is changing, runners are becoming better passers, and pro style offenses are being tweaked accordingly. The Read Option and Pistol formation will probably be stalwarts in the NFL in the next 5 years. And Bama's offense has those in it's playbook already, so it's not like the offense will have to change much.
Bateman offers a little more than what we're use to in terms of running, and of course there's Blake Sims seeing a lot backup snaps. I see no drawback if the QB can make the throws. It's said that they don't want them taking off and running every play, well if you've coached them accordingly they won't.
It's gotta happen naturally though, rather than going out and being determined to get one. That could lead to failure...

I really wish we could have landed Jameis Winston last year. I think he could have added that dimension to our offense with his athleticism.

I agree and this appears to be the approach we've taken. We took at run at Winston last year and Zaire this year; just didn't work out.
It would be interesting to see what would happen with EJ Moss if we sign him next year. His frosh film looks great but apparently we've told him we want him as an athlete. If he didn't work out at QB I could see him being used at several positions like Trey Burton at Florida (2010 season moreso than the last 2).

Taylor Lamb is actually a SR. He is not a guy going to Bama. He is looking at USA.
