Thomas is definitely an LB prospect. IMO, he is exactly what we need when dealing with the Johnny Football-type QBs that we will be seeing more of, maybe not in-conference but definitely in postseason matchups (Big 12, Pac 12, ACC, Urban Meyer's OSU teams, etc)
ETA: Also, with Malzahn, Sumlin, and Freeze, I guess we can expect more in-division too.

I just don't see Thomas happening. He has probably been to Miami 20 times, and I don't think he has ever made it to Tuscaloosa. Even if we roll out the red carpet for him on his OV I don't think it will be enough.

I understand that, but DL obviously wasn't much of a priority for this class with all the guys we brought in last year (Kirven, Tomlinson, Lake, Ball). There are a lot of good players out there this year we never pursued like Crayton and Bain.
