It was the original Bama recruiting thread. It was a cross between general Bama talk, sometimes an IM thread, and the best place on the internet for Bama recruiting info.

I guess if he does walk on as a safety, then that goes right along with the reports of Eddie Williams returning to offense (WR) after the season. Dude's pushing 30, but if he's in great shape, then I say welcome him back home.
The BOL folks were saying there are some questions about his remaining eligibility though, makes the Marlins sound like snakes in the whole situation. Kinda like the Buccs on the Bo Jackson story.

Once a month. Bringing top guys from the South to Columbus. Surprisingly, A lot of big name southern comics have come down not even knowing what they'll get paid because the crowds have been so good

Never fails. Every year recruiting turns into a 3 ring circus on crack around this time of year.

Its been reported that Lane Kiffin may have reached out to the Alabama staff on behalf of Massington...
Its almost impossible to verify that kinda stuff (communications between staffs), but it sounds like the kid really wants to come to Bama, but we have Foster higher and feel pretty confident that we will land him, so that likely means no Massington.
Also, it may not necessarily be a spot thing as much as not wanting to rock the boat with Foster. Just something to think about as these final spots shake out and we try to close out with the best of the best at certain spots.

Saw this in the AJC regarding RB Travis Curtis. Anything else think it is odd to be recruiting another RB at this point.

Per Lovejoy HC - Al Hughes, no one from UA has been by during the contact period, and no one from UA is involved with the kid. This info came from Charles at BOL. TIFWIW

The MegaThread was epic. Each day when I got to work and sat down at my computer, I would pop a Dt. Mtn. Dew and smile knowing I had 10+ new pages to read since the morning before.

I don't know how the numbers fit either way, but I will say this, if Foster was able to EE, then he would have a January spot.

Unfortunately the tricky part is just going to be getting him enrolled period. I've heard he might have qualifying issues.
