Your thoughts on the Carver QB who said he would decommit from the Barn if Chiz is gone...I saw him play one friday night and he is legit..He mentioned two schools with one being LSU. Do you think Bama would try to get in with JJ should he open things up..He is 6 feet 5 with a strong arm and great speed..He appears to be a drop back passer with the ability to scramble when need be.

We've never seemed to be interested in JJ in the past so I doubt we'll go after him now. Remember, Auburn didn't even offer him until after they had missed out on several other QBs including Cooper Bateman.

Any news on how some of the visits went?

I bet they went well despite the result. The atmosphere in BDS was crazy, they had to have liked that.

They blew away Tunsil and his mother, they rolled out the red carpet and they both took notice.
Aren't many coaches out there that are better than Saban in regards to recruiting parents...

The section for recruits is directly next to the Student Section on about the 25 yard line.

Do we have a sure enough game changer type recruit for the d-line? Seems like that's what is really needed this year and next.
It also seems that Vinnie has been getting abused in coverage the last few games. Seems like LC's superior athletic ability would have got him more PT? Thoughts?

Not anymore. It's now right behind the Bama endzone, lower corner.

they had derrick henry on local sports radio here in jacksonville today... talking with the 76/77 year old gentleman whose rushing record he's about to break. much respect for this kid. i swear i heard at least 100 yes sirs from him, like every other interview he does. i hope he pans out as a quality back for us, regardless i'm glad we'll have a kid like that playing for us soon. it cracks me up how shamelessly he recruits for us too

Derrick Henry is trying to be modest.
The Yulee (Fla.) senior running back has rushed for at least 100 yards in every game of his high school career, yet he’s hesitant to concede that he’ll pick up the 102 yards he needs to break a 59-year-old record in Friday’s playoff game against Taylor County (Perry, Fla.).
“You just never know,” said Henry, whose 11,130 career rushing yards rank second on the all-time list to Sugar Land (Texas) running back Ken Hall. “There’s no guarantee.”

Hall, who rushed for 11,232 yards in his high school career from 1950-53, was dubbed the Sugar Land Express. He went on to play for legendary coach Paul “Bear” Bryant at Texas A&M before stints in the CFL, NFL and AFL. He was inducted into the National Federation of High Schools Hall of Fame in 1983.
“No one was seeing Mr. Hall,” Henry said. “He was just a monster. It’s definitely an honor to be mentioned in the same breath as him. Of course I want the record though.”

Will his game be on TV? It would be cool to be able to watch him break the record.

He broke the record. Doesn't mean he will be a RB for us. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have an Eddie George type RB pounding the rock. Just don't be suprised if he switches positions when he gets on campus.

@MattScalici: Say what you want about his running style, his height or anything else. There's no way the leading HS rusher of all time plays LB at Alabama
