When major recruits go to a school that school has a jersey with the players name and number on it and the kid try's it on ect, this happens on every visit with every major recruit.

247 owns recruiting now, and the gap between them and the rest of the pack continues to grow.

2013 Alabama Football Recruiting Thread
Well D. Walker just posted a pic of him and RN in clemson jerseys. On A. Bone, he covers the whole state. He is a Alabama reporter but he reports on guys that never had a chance in coming to Bama. I dont care who goes to UAB and all that crap.

This. I follow A. Bone on twitter and I always get excited when I first start reading one of his tweets because I'll see the word commitment in it but it always turns out to be some 5'10" 200lb middle linebacker from a 2A highschool in Alabama committing to an even smaller college no one has ever even heard of somewhere in Arkansas or Louisiana

Walker tweeted tonight that he's going to go to UF's FNL camp. I think he ends up pushing back his commitment, again. If he does indeed do that, do you guys see Saban moving on?

the all time funniest thing to happen in the RN situation would be for him to maintain his commitment to clemson through signing day, wait till all his high school buddies fax in their LOIs to Clemson, then commit somewhere else. your pals all get a scholarship, you dont have to go to clemson. win win

Too bad Clemson's coaches probably aren't that stupid. There's no way they would send out LOI's to his teammates before getting RN's.

I don't think so. We're his leader. And even if he does attend FNL, he could very well stick with his date and commit to Bama.

Yeah I don't think Walker pushes back his commitment date, if he wasn't already sure where he was going he would've waited til after these visits to set a date.I'm sure he has visited Florida a lot already, nothing there he hasn't already seen.

would be a public relations/future recruiting nightmare for him though. you pull a bunch of scholarships from guys because of what someone else does? i think he would be stuck with them or suffer a backlash. not that i think any of this will happen of course, but its fun to think about

I think he sticks with his date and Alabama. He is giving his schools final consideration, but we have a huge lead.

Its hard to believe that some of you believe some of things you are saying after being so sure on RN. I just take the wait and see approach for now on.

Anyone who acted for sure for RN had no idea what they were talking about, his top 3 schools were Clemson, LSU, and Ole Miss, he wanted to play in a 4-3 he said that during his whole recruitment.

He will commot on Aug 3rd. My guess right now would be to UA, especially with father seeming to want him there now. BUt whoever I do think it will be then.

From Scout's recap of Day 4 of the Elite 11:

quote:

Cooper Bateman had another impressive showing. Bateman is so efficient with his throws that it's easy to sleep on just how strong his arm is. He rarely shows it off, but when he does, there's little doubt he can make every throw that will be asked of him on the next level

Scout had him as 2nd best in his group on Saturday and 4th best overall on the day. They have him 8th (out of 25) over all 4 days.

Penn State has 13 commits, including bluechip QB Christian Hackenberg. Coaches from other schools & media will swarm em now

Hackenberg is one of maybe 3 QBs I would take over CB. Wonder if he'll stick with PSU. I wouldn't if I were him.

They aren't getting death penalty. They'll likely lose 18+ schollies, 3 yr bowl ban, and massive fines to be donated to child abuse orgs
