Bama gave up two runs in the top of the first. If they keep losing it's their last game of the season. Come on!

our lack of hitting is catching up to us. We had 2-3 hits all last night and scored 2. Scoring 4 to win this would be a huge undertaking

Prestons drop has so much movement but it works Reagan to death.

Now it's 4 nothing in the 5th with two on and two outs. Barely able to save ourselves with a late grand slam.

I have watched precious little softball this year so my opinions are based on a small sample size.

1. I see less base running speed than we have had in the past. (This could be due to not many base runners in the little I watched)

2. Too many liabilities at the plate to produce runs consistently

3. The 1st baseman requires a near perfect throw to the base. She can get to a poorly thrown ball but she is not going to remain in contact with the base...no flexibility.

And this game has alot of defensive misplays that may not show up as a error...but still poor play.

I am not on the Murphy is on the hot seat bandwagon...its easy to see these things but difficult to produce immediate improvement.

5-0 now....not looking good.

That has to be good...this team has not been dominant to Bamas past standards but still has been a very good team obviously.

Not sure what recruits will be coming this fall but we need 3 or 4 players ready for a starting role early. Speed and hitting is a priority.

So many bad at bats...completely unproductive

Game over.

Their pitcher averaged less than 14 pitches per inning for the entire game.

Horrible approaches at the plate.

Next year maybe.

.....and I'm afraid we're witnessing the beginning of the decline in Alabama softball...no decent returning pitching, mediocre talent(few athletes), and a staff that seems to have lost the "fire in their bellies"....hope I'm wrong, but...

i assume we only got 2 runs in game one and lost in 9. I went to bed after it was tied up on bottom of 7

So we score two runs in 16 innings. Their back up pitcher gave up 0 runs.

What we need is a new batting coach. We best have a stud pitcher coming in, if not we wont finish 500 in league play next year

This is not the beginning. This is a trend that started several years back. This team is so poorly coached it is pathetic. The players are in horrible shape and it shows. The second string first baseman is a clown show. Saying she can't field her position is an understatement. Look at the team that beat us. Every player is in shape. They can hit and they all can field multiple positions. This is the worst hitting team I've seen at this level of softball. Murphy say's he's the hitting coach? Hitting coach my arse. Changes need to be made. Get rid of the worthless first base coach, pitching coach and Murphy if he doesn't present a comprehensive plan to change.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Pretty much sums up Murphy and his staff's coaching effort. Need to rebuild this staff and this team. If the players are unable and are unwilling to get in shape, they need to go as well.
