I think right now he's just a player that, while good, is surrounded by players who are better/have more potential.

Robinson, Allen, Hand, Pettway, etc all have us excited.

qbs

is it me, or does cornwell throw the best ball consistently? every video ive seen of fall camp, his passes are always on time, nice spiral, right where they need to be, and it looks effortless

Yeah, Cornwell is a natural. I truly believe he was the best QB prospect out of his class, he's just a little raw.

Drew DeArmond

Runs his own recruiting site. Sometimes has good info. Other times it appears he copies and pastes the latest message board rumor.

In that video of the QBs throwing, I noticed something.

At one point Coker throws, you can't see the WR or anything, it just keeps showing Coker. But I imagine he overthrew someone or put one high. If you notice he gets the WRs attention and takes blame for it.

Like seeing that. Sign of leadership.

yeah i dont remember seeing much of that from AJ, ever.

as for Cornwell, i have a lot of hope for him in the future. Seems to have all the talent and intangibles you could look for. I think Cornwell and Barnett will battle to become the next big thing at UA after Coker is gone.

Aaron Suttles from TideSports has a similar opinion, has been consistent so far.

Don't forget about Bateman, if he's still here that is.

The Cornwell/Barnett battle is gonna be awesome. I just wish we could eventually play both. It'd suck to lose one of them, but that's what happens.

Cornwell definitely seems to have the intangibles.

WRT Cornwell, agree he looks really natural and fluid throwing during drills. Understandably, I think he's still adjusting to the step up when it comes to the more game-type settings. In a ridiculously small sample set on A-Day he looked a little hesitant. On fan day, he got about 15 reps in a row with a full offense going against a full defense in short yardage/goal-line and he looked like a freshman. Give him a couple years to get comfortable/adjusted and I think he can be very good.

1. WRT? I'm drawing a blank on what it means.

2. Blake Barnett is gonna be a good one, and obviously he's a big time run threat, but Cornwell can move too. He's not the threat that Blake is, but I've compared his athletic ability to Andrew Luck before.

Psst...@Jaguars. Might want to get a futures contract ready for Duron Carter if these injuries stick.

i like that comparison. not sure if Cornwell has Luck's head on his shoulders, but the physical comparison seems legit.
