Apparently, ESPN broadcaster Troy Aikman would love to see Deion Sanders coach the Cowboys...
quote:

"Well, I wouldn’t bet against him. I absolutely would never bet against Deion," Aikman told The Dallas Morning News. "I’ve just seen it too many times. ... He’s proven that he’s earned the opportunity. So if he lands the job in Dallas, if that ultimately is what happens, or if he goes somewhere else within the NFL or even in the college ranks, I mean, he’s earned that opportunity."

"I don’t know if I’d look at anyone and say it’s necessarily a great fit. I just think there’s a lot of hurdles. And so it may not be a great fit for anyone, but if Deion were to come on board, I think he’d be fantastic. I think you would relate exceptionally well to the locker room. It’s amazing that for someone who’s as far removed from having played the reverence that these current players have for his career and what he was as a player.

There’s no way Troy truly believes that.

Well, considering it has been 30 years since the 'boys have gotten past the first playoff round, knowing the NFL is all about drama, I guess the next scene is being set.

I quit watching the NFL soap opera when Colin Kaphisneck began kneeling.

This may all be true to a point, but wait to see how the guy produces in the new minor leagues without his son and other top players he's been dragging around with him.

Your point is valid, but what if he never has to prove that? i.e. he can just coach his son in the NFL if given the opportunity and probably be somewhat successful. Shadeur looks like he could be an NFL QB and the NFL is setup for more parity than if he stayed at Colorado, so shite maybe it does work out for him.

Now if he didn't have an NFL caliber QB for a son, then yea, it probably wouldn't work out. But he might not ever have to to find that out.
