According to FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer on Monday, Browns QB Brian Hoyer got the start over backup Johnny Manziel on Sunday against the Colts because he went to the Cavaliers game last Tuesday.
quote:Who knows if this is true, but it is interesting.
“On Tuesday evening he was … at the Cleveland Cavaliers game, sitting court side, and it made people inside that organization, they wanted to see how he would handle potentially starting,” Glazer said, via FOX Sports. “… If you’re getting your first ever NFL start, they would hope that you’re either gonna be at the complex or home and just getting ready for the Indianapolis Colts. He wasn’t, he was with the Cavs.”
