During the latest episode of the "Scoop City" podcast, Dianna Russini of The Athletic called New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr's injury situation fishy...

If a franchise is willing to move on from a healthy QB who should be in his prime, another franchise will likely find out why! I can't think of many successful QBs in their prime playing age who a franchise will let go if they believe in him! Drew Brees's situation was unique in that he was recovering from a shoulder injury with a very good and younger QB as a backup. Saints hit the lottery with Brees, but Carr is mediocre at best, and a manager type QB with bad body language. If x-NFL players and NFL media openly question his integrity regarding injuries and commitment, that's pretty telling. Unfortunately, his style of play and leadership isn't working!

Talked with Shanle at the Saints post-SB XLIV party in Miami, so I am pretty sure he was on the team. Nice guy who took a little time to chat after such a great win.
