Chase Young - "I'm gonna wait and have this done after I sign so I won't have to go training camp!"

Doctors are pretty reluctant to do back/neck surgery if there is a potential to wait and see if treatment or other less invasive procedures can fix it. I went through years of therapy and injections before the doctors even considered the surgery. It is very possible there was a drop dead date for the surgery so that they gave it enough time to possibly avoid surgery and if it doesn't it gives you enough time to be ready for the season opener.

Neck surgery is to be avoided if you can.

It's like they look for injured people to sign! Even in the draft! Every season, first day of camp, they have like 6 people that go directly to IR! It's just mind boggling to me!

Chase just signed a 1 year 13 million dollar contract a few days ago and now he going to have surgery. Terrible pick.
