Here's What Refs Told Rams DBs & Players About Missed Pass Interference Call
© John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports
After Sunday's game the NFL admitted to Saints head coach Sean Payton they missed the pass interference penalty call. Rams CB Nickell Robey-Coleman, who was the one who would've been called, said the refs on the field told the players something different...

I honestly can't see any possible way that ref didn't have some sort of vested interest in the Rams winning, its impossible that MILLIONS of people saw it but the one person in the world that's paid to see it and had the best view did not, earlier in the game on a 3rd down the same guy obviously got there early, in the replay you can see the look on the corners face that says "can't believe I got away with that"

AlbinoGator...You sir, are an a**hole! Yes, we should have scored td's instead of fielgoals on the first two drives, but it is what it is. The play calling on the last drive sucked as well, but we were still in a position to win the game but for that last "no call"! To have it stolen from us in that way really sucked! It's not whining d***head, it's fact!

Even if so, still a blatant helmet to helmet

They stopped flagging that shite months ago. Did you watch the Dallas game?

I’m still flabbergasted at that blatant PI no call yesterday. That no call was just as egregious as the PI no call in the end zone in Tiger Stadium at the 2004 Bama @ LSU game.

It being the worst, most costly no call in league history overshadows the other game...the officials did everything they could in the 4th to make sure NE won. Los Angeles vs Boston - west coast vs east coast. Not watching that fixed pageant.

It is not a game... it is a show. Get use to it. Only going to get worse. WWE and NFL are both "sports entertainment". They don't have to be fair legally.

Typical anytime the Saints or the tigers lose it's always the refs. The game is a 60 minute game not a 1 play game if the saints had scored a td instead of a fg on one of the 2 possessions in the 1ST Quarter they would have won period then that play at the end means Norah Stop winning they lost get over it

You are a retard. Both teams had opportunities. But the fact remains that the referee's mistake changed the outcome of the game. Literally no one disagrees with this.

Isn’t a tipped ball reviewable?

This is bama/SEC officiating at the nfl level. Integrity has gone by the wayside.

What they really said was: "The fix is in. LA is too big of a market to leave out of our money making superbowl. Both the (nfl) home office and Vegas agree. The dumb azz public will forget about this in a few days". Integrity? What's that?

If that's the case , can't you review if it was tipped or not ? And if it's not it's a damn penalty. Hope they choke on each others dicks.

Ref didn't mean it was tipped on that play. It was tipped sometime in the first quarter.

Inexcusable non call, game over if penalty called, suspension or fired to the one who missed the call. With that said, with the stakes this high, obvious missed call must have a revue process to insure this type of horrendous missed error does not decide the ball game.

The football is about a yard away from the nearest DL's hand. That's called "oops I f'd up so I am going to make something up to get me out of the current situation". Those refs should not be handling anymore NFL games.

Saints players lose 225K because of some refs who make 225K a year. Do these refs ever get fired for poor job performance?

They should get fined or fired for something so flagrant as this play was!

One of the worst called games I've seen in a while. Littleton by himself had three tackles where he clearly led with the helmet that were not called. What happened to the whole "player safety" thing???

that ref was wrong. the NFL office said they missed the call. should have been interference and helmet to helmet.

Even if you think the ball was tipped, you throw the flag. The refs then get together to see if the ball was tipped. If it was, you pick up the flag. There is a process in line for picking up flag, but not the other way around.
