A. deny people proper medical care and only offer remdesivir which kills way more than it saves, if it saves any at all or mRNA shots which kills people in both the short term and long term.
B. Greatly increase deaths for many other diseases such as cancer by tying up the people immune system forever by fighting a variant that no longer exist.
C. Usher in a new huge wave of autoimmune disease in people that never had them or by making present autoimmune diseases much worse.
D. Make pharmaceutical companies billions by having much increased numbers of sick people with the disease increased by C.
E. Reduce the world population. I list this one because it has although it didn't reduce the numbers by they amount they had hoped for.

So yes it was a success because it accomplished the goals they had for it.
