LeBron James Basically Admits He's Waiting To Play With His Son In the NBA
© Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports
LeBron James just agreed to a two-year, $85 million maximum contract with the Lakers last week that runs through 2023. That coincides with when his son, Bronny, graduates high school and could opt to enter the NBA Draft. It's been long speculated that James will wait until he can play with Bronny to retire. He finally talked about that on Tuesday...
quote:

“The best thing about it is the year I’ll be a free agent will be the same year my oldest son graduates high school,” James told reporters on Monday, via ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “So I’ll have some options to see, for me personally, what I want to do forward, being around my family, being around my son more or continue to play this game I love with great health and great spirits. We’ll see.”
LeBron would turn 39 during that 2023-24 season.

I watched his kid play in the Damien tournament last season. Kid is talented but his dad acts like a sanctimonious prick at games.

I don’t love LeBron but I acknowledge he’s a hell of a basketball player and he tries to be the father he never had. Politics aside, I think he is a good dude. His son is legit good and that would be a cool story.

His son wont be good enough to go to the NBA right after he graduates from High School, Lebron will control that narrative though.
