Gary Payton Names The Big Problem With Ben Simmons

The thing is, free throws and mid range shooting comes down to mechanics and practice. Basketball history is littered with players who have improved drastically over the course of just a few years. Lonzo Ball shot 45% from the line, and 42% 2 pointers his rookie year. In 2021 he shot 79% from the line and 48% 2 pointers. Simmons obviously doesn't care about putting the work in.

Ben Simmons sucks at the most basic of basketball: shooting a free throw or a jumper?! I AM SHOCKED!

I've said this for a long time now. He's the primary ball handler but only shoots 60% from the FT line. He's a liability in close games, pure and simple.

Hope he finds some way of staying young forever, because as he ages and his athletic ability dwindles, he's going to be absolute garbage.

Think they treaded the wrong guy from Philly. Should have traded Simmons and kept j butler on the roster. Butler was damn good compared to Simmons

That guy has not been all that great the last couple games in playoffs and his Point shot does suck. His game has dipped this past season from his years past. That dude need some help if he wants to stay in Philly.
