They are in the business of competing in a sport that has never, in the history of the sport, been honest or fair... They took the competition into the world of sign stealing. If they apologize for anything, it should be for not knowing how far was "too far."

You obviously forgot they won the championship on the road and their road record was significantly better than their home record. I think people who make comments like this should say that the Saints and Pats need to be stripped of their championships for sure. Bounty Gate was real. So was the Pats stealing all those plays all those years as well as videotaping incidents.

Sign stealing has been a part of baseball since it’s inception. To disagree is naive. They got caught and busted because they used technology to enhance it. Even if you know what pitch is coming that does NOT mean you will hit the ball. Hitting a baseball is one of the hardest things to do in sports. I’m not justifying what they did, just pointing out that people will continue to attempt to steal other teams signs and, even if they know what pitch is coming, there’s a large probability that they won’t be successful getting a base hit.

Hitting a baseball IS the hardest thing to do in professional sports. Knowing FB vs off-speed in advance makes it significantly less difficult. To argue otherwise or that it did not impact the game is deceitful and total BS. Yes it has always been a part of the game, but that is an even playing field. Show another single instance of electronic sign stealing if everyone was doing it.

Carlos Beltran spearheaded this whole thing. Did it with the Astros and then took it to the Yankees. Cora took it to the Red Sox. Why do you think these guys got fired or stepped down. Have you heard the interview with Cora talking about Beltran being the biggest FA acquisition that season...? Cora essentially said the Yankees were cheating better than they were and the Red Sox were going to have to figure it out. Don't be naive.

What he wants to say is that it didn't change the result of the game because the other team was doing it too, but obviously he can't say that.

Fact, it is not a distinct advantage. As a former college and professional hitter, I would much rather not know and react than think and guess location, angle, release, etc.

Hinch and players have all said some of the guys (Altuve in particular) found it distracting and did not want them to do it.

Not even close. The equivalent might be being able to pre-determine if the defense is in zone or man coverage on the snap before anything else happens. This is WAY BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION which is typical media hysteria.
