ts the Cohn House. Its just an old house from an era when that part of Houston was a upscale neighborhood known as Quality Hill. The Cohn house was built in 1905, added to the NRHP in 1985. The City of Houston bought it some number of years ago and moved it to where it currently sits when they expanded the convention center site. The intent was to make it a visitors center but apparently fubding was linked to oil and gas and when that tanked, they abandoned the idea.

 I always see it when we go to games and have been curious. I was fairly certain I'd seen it in two different places but thought maybe my memory just sucked

Can someone educate me on the historical significance of the blue house?

I always see a lot of “never understood why they played it to begin with” or “euro soccer doesn’t do it” in anthem threads.

So what? Why can’t things be uniquely American? We used to take pride in those things and it was pretty great.

Wait a second... can we apply this logic to positivity and mortality rates? No? Didn't think so.

frick all of these people.

This is all that really matters, along with a willingness to spend it.

Terry Bowden actually did a pretty good job at Akron and they've fallen apart without him. I can also see him playing well with donors. I think he and Rich Rod could actually end up being great hires for ULM. They weren't going to get some hot young coach to take that job.

They should start the runner on 2nd crap in the 12th or 13th to help prevent the marathon games, but still play at least two normal extra innings. And, it shouldn’t be in the postseason at all.

Personally I think Manning could, not sure about Brees. Brady’s longevity and how his body has held up are both almost more remarkable to me than his rings. Whatever weirdo diet of non-shadow casting gluten-free wheat grass and super model pussy TB12 subsists off of is clearly working for him.

This is where his greatness is undisputed to me. More impressive than any W-L record. It defies logic. Gisele's poon is what Ponce de Leon was searching for all along.

I'll die on the hill that Brady/Brees/Manning are all interchangeable, about equally as good as one another.

Agree 100% with this but good luck telling this to most of this board. The defensive metrics for Brady's teams vs. Brees and Rodgers and how that corresponds to winning is pretty clear. There's a great breakdown on the athletic, but obviously behind a paywall.

Bottom line is it's a team sport. As much as everyone this morning wants to say Brady got the last laugh over Bill, Bill put those championship teams together. Their consistently great defenses had a LOT to do with winning. Not to mention the tuck rule, Seahawks throwing on the goal line, etc. The dude is GREAT, but he sure as shite ends up in great situations ALL the time, including this year. Bucs D went from very average to dominating the best two offenses in the NFL.

Edit: In case ppl think I'm just being a Brees fanboy I'd add this. I think Mahomes and Rodgers are better than all 3. Just purely on what I see watching the game. Individual skill, not team wins and losses.

What hurts even more is knowing this compounded with the fact that Brees most likely would've retired in 2018 had we won the Super Bowl. The no-call robbed us of not one but TWO titles.

It really is amazing how differently things could have turned out if the flag is thrown. I know it's no guarantee they win that SB, but a win over Brady and a 2nd ring totally change the way the casual fan views Brees. Plus, the nonsense from this summer never happens and we don't have to watch him break down physically because he would have at least retired after 2019, if not 2018.

I got nothing bad to say about the man, and I understand why he hung on as long as he could. Winning a SB is the only thing that could have washed away 2018 for him. It fricking sucks.

Amen. 15 years ago we were a laughing stock with an owner threatening to move the team to Texas and now we’re a model franchise that the rest of the NFL tries to poach talent from.

He didn’t do it alone, but there’s no one more responsible for that change than Drew. Took shaky ground and made it a rock solid foundation. Hope ppl start appreciating that.

I can assure you, the people getting hurt the worst by all this are not the ones that voted for them.

He should have retired 2 or 3 years ago when his arm retired.

He SHOULD have retired after whipping Brady in the SB two years ago but what should happen don't always happen.

The 1/9/12 answers don't really make sense unless I'm misunderstanding the question.

Program-defining lost to me means that you had a chance to win your first natty (or first in a really long time) and you pissed it away against a team you should have beat. And, you haven't made it back to that level since.

Would any of the teams in the OP have beat the actual champ if they had made it to the natty? Maybe 07 WVU?
98 K-State?
The Big East games will always be what sticks with me about Thursday nights. If the American wants to push this whole P6 thing they need to take over Thursday night. Do some kind of flex scheduling type deal where they get their best games on Thursday night each week.
