A 21-year-old has been hit with two criminal charges after authorities claim he supplied minor Kavan Markwood with alcohol just prior to the Pirates fan's tragic fall at PNC Park last month...

Court records show Ethan Kirkwood is facing two misdemeanor counts of furnishing liquor to Markwood a short time before the 20-year-old sustained significant injuries in a 21-foot tumble from his seat at the Pittsburgh vs. Chicago game on April 30.

Additional footage, according to the complaint, showed Kirkwood going back to the bar and returning with two more beers at least one more time prior to Markwood's seventh-inning fall.

Authorities allege in the complaint that during questioning about the incident, Kirkwood admitted to buying alcohol for Markwood while at the park.

Court records show Kirkwood is now due in court for a preliminary hearing in the case late next month.

The minor was 20 years old. If it were a dad getting his 20 year old son a beer at a baseball game, would anyone feel the same?

That 20-year old has been drunk more times than he could ever count or remember but it's someone else fault he decided to jump over a rail because a baseball was hit

I began this post with the thought how asinine it was that a 20 year old man can’t buy a beer for himself.

Then, I thought about how this 20 year old man did not have the wherewithal to keep himself from falling over the rail when he got excited over a baseball play.

Then I decided to quit thinking.

I was an adult when I went to my 1st Astros game. And knowing all about the legitimacy of Beginner's Luck, I brought my glove with me.

We're on the 3rd base line on the bottom, I'm coming back down with beer & nachos and hear the crack of the bat. I look up and it's coming down on me. I shuffle the tray off to my podna, spilling everything, grab my glove and the ball slammed down on the step a foot from me & then sky-rocketed up to the next level. I was so excited, it took me an hour to calm down.

So yeah...when the ball is near, your thinking disappears.
