Mississippi State’s spring game ended early on Saturday after safety Jonathan Abram landed this cheap-shot hit on teammate Bennie Braswell...

Dumb move, kid.

The pu$$ification of football continues.

Defender was going full speed expecting the RB to catch the bobble after the bobble. I think it was innocent unless the defender had problems with each other.

Dumb? He is at State.

Looks as though he couldn't see around the blocks and, therefore, didn't know the guy didn't have the ball. Honestly, is there really anyone on the State team that isn't easily replaceable? I mean even Merlin admits that he's competing with UT-Chattanooga for recruits. LINK

The guy making the hit is what my old high school coaches would call an "All-American in Underpants." Save that shite for the opposing team.

What was cheap about that?

It's hard to tell from the speed and angle whether it was a "cheap shot," but regardless, you don't hit your teammates like that.

Honestly I couldn't have come up with a better representation of there upcoming season.

Could have been avoided had he just caught the ball..

First thing that came to mind. I'll bet next time he catches the damned ball.

That's "brutal"? Geez, he ran by him and gave him a shoulder chip. RB half assed his effort to recover fumble...And paid for it. Play on....or be Miss St forever.

BS. He nailed him pretty damn hard. Would not want our RBs taking those hits in spring game.

are you blind? The defender had a full head of steam and put his shoulder right into the guy's head. The dude probably has a concussion. In a spring game AGAINST YOUR OWN TEAM.

It looked unintentional to me. I'm sure it still gave the RB a headache though.
