Following LSU's loss to UCLA in the Elite 8, Jacques Doucet reported that Flau'Jae Johnson is unsure if she will return to the team for her senior season next year.

According to Doucet, Johnson will meet with Kim Mulkey and her mother soon to discuss her plans.

The former McDonald's All-American has been a key player at LSU since stepping on the court as a true freshman in 2022. Johnson averaged 11.0 points per game that season, helping the Lady Tigers win the National Championship over Iowa.

Her stats improved during the following year, averaging 14.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

This past season, Johnson averaged 18.6 points per game, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists.

She has more visibility and makes more money than going to WNBA where she will be forgotten.

She can make as much or more being a student with the LSU limelight than she can in the WNBA (assuming that she makes a team which isn't always a given, even for elite players).
