LSU and Alabama released their initial injury report Wednesday night ahead of Saturday's matchup in Tiger Stadium.

The biggest takeaway for LSU is that linebacker Whit Weeks is listed as doubtful, a potentially encouraging sign as he works his way back from a fractured leg suffered against Texas A&M on September 26.

Weeks has missed LSU's last four games, and while his status remains uncertain for Saturday, the doubtful designation suggests he is making progress toward a return.

His brother, linebacker Zach Weeks, is listed as questionable, while defensive tackle Richard Anderson has been ruled out.

Alabama has several notable players listed as questionable, including wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams, running backs AK Dear and EJ Crowell, and defensive back Zabien Brown.

The Crimson Tide have four players ruled out, while quarterback Jett Thomalla is listed as doubtful.

I had hoped he would be back….but that amount of time is not long to heal from a broken leg.

Not worth rushing him along. Maybe Texas?

If Whit’s fully healed up, Im talking about 100% healed up & good to geaux, let him get after it BUT if he’s only 85-90% they should absolutely keep him on the bench until the Texas game.

Bama’s OL isn't very good at protecting the QB & their WB can run a little so having Weeks out there would absolutely make a huge impact on the game but only if hes at 100%. JMO

It looks like Alabama will be getting quite a few injured players back for the game with 7 listed as Questionable.

Are any of the Bama doubtfuls and listed as out, significant losses for them?

No….lots of key players listed a “questionable” for Bama, though.

Hopefully he will be 100% ready for Texas then. Hopeful young Weeks can play Saturday so he and Singleton can spell Dottery and Keys.
