To be brutally honest his calls lack a lot of excitement. I tried listening to the hometown telecast on ESPN and it was terribly boring. Ended up going back to the main broadcast where Chris Fowler was WAY more exciting to listen to. And it’s been that way all season. He is an extremely underwhelming play by play caller especially considering the amazing plays he was witnessing. When CBS would do their segment on the play of the game and they would first show the tv broadcast version and then play the LSU radio call the tv broadcast was more exciting every single time. It was and is baffling.

I like the SECn broadcast with the local play-by-play instead of the ESPN broadcast. I wish it was full screen though.

Chris Blair has definitely put on some Louisiana spread since getting here. I'm not hating. It happens to the best of us. He probably gained another 5 in NOLA. lol

Do they use binoculars every game or is the press box higher in the Superdome? Couldn't imagine trying to call a game with such a small field of view.

You might if you needed to identify individual players involved in the play from both teams to quickly relay to radio audiences.
