The SEC is expected to stick with an eight-game conference schedule in 2025 but could adjust the kickoff times by 45 minutes to allow for more staggered finishes, according to 247 Sports.

The Southeastern Conference is expected to stay with eight conference games through at least the 2025 season, sources told 247Sports.

The conference schedule model isn’t changing, but the start times will be as soon as 2024.

Desiring an all-day SEC football feel, SEC Network game start times can now be pushed back 45 minutes to lead to more staggered finishes, i.e. moving from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. CT. kickoff time. A typical SEC Network slate would now look like 11:45 a.m. CT, 3:15 p.m. CT and 6:45 p.m. CT while ABC and ESPN games would keep their typical start times. The SEC and ESPN will have the ability to flex ABC and ESPN afternoon and night games a limited amount of times per school.
The SEC will likely explore moving to a nine-game conference schedule in 2026.

No reason for any SEC game to have a kickoff time with "AM" involved.

What are you talking about? The structure isn't changing, but the opponents will outside of permanent opponents

Oh I see it elsewhere - flipping home/away for 24/25 opponents

This is needed for the sec fans in the Carolinas, Florida and Georgia.

Cannot stand having a wake/boston college game go over noon and having to watch the end of a game that no one cares about.

Smart move on SEC network's part to have those games getting watched while the ESPN and ABC games are at halftime. Non stop football is all we ever wanted.

I like the 1145 move. Still early, but that 11am was tough.
