Undrafted LSU edge rusher Patrick Payton has accepted an NFL rookie minicamp invitation from the Carolina Panthers, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.
Payton spent last season with LSU after four seasons at Florida State and tallied 34 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, and a sack last season with the Tigers.
Payton has recorded 143 tackles and 17 sacks over his five-year college career.
