LSU starting cornerback Mekhi Garner has accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl, which indicates that he will likely declare for the NFL Draft.

Garner, a junior transfer from UL-Lafayette, has not made an announcement about his future plans but did part participate in LSU's senior day a few weeks ago.

He has good size and speed (for that size), and while I wish he stayed another year, best of luck to him.

CBs for the bowl game are looking thin....next man up!

It doesn't say he isn't playing in the bowl game. He accepted an invitation to play an additional game. Seems like he wants to get more film out there
