Lane Kiffin Praises Sam Leavitt: ‘Not Many People In The Country Can Make’ These Throws

LSU coach Lane Kiffin had some major praise for quarterback Sam Leavitt after Thursday's practice as the Tigers continue preparations for the season opener against Clemson.

Kiffin said LSU's offense has started to improve during fall camp and singled out Leavitt for two impressive throws he made during Thursday's practice.

"Our offense has started to improve. Sam has been awesome. He made two throws back-to-back today that I call 'adult throws' that not many people in the country can make. Really pleased with him. Now we gotta make plays around him."

Kiffin also noted that Leavitt is now able to show more of his ability after being limited during the spring while recovering from his foot injury.

With LSU's Sept. 5 matchup against Clemson approaching, Kiffin appears pleased with where his starting quarterback is heading into the final stretch of fall camp.
