LSU defender Harold Perkins has accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl.

The news likely means Perkins will enter the 2026 NFL Draft rather than use his final year of eligibility next season.

Perkins, a former five-star prospect originally from New Orleans, La., played in every game during his freshman and sophomore seasons, registering 147 tackles, 13 sacks, seven forced fumbles, and two interceptions over two years.

He suffered a season-ending injury during his junior year in 2024 but returned and played in every game this past season, recording 56 tackles, four sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and three interceptions.

Perk is a stud and we are lucky to have had him. The injury set him back. The NFL will find a way to use him!

Ironically I think it was our new coach that made LSU fans overhype and expect bigger things from than he was capable of producing in that one quote after we beat Ole Miss his freshman year. After the game Lane was asked what the difference in the game was and Lane said something like “They played 40 more” which was Perk’s number his first year.

He had a few good moments, but all in all played not to get hurt for the NFL draft. Good luck.

He could've mailed it in when the playoffs were out of reach but instead had his best games of the season at the end of the year

He's not even a top ten pick at outside LB

IMO, he is a 3rd day pick. He is a great athlete but not a great football player.

He was a good player. Fans just got way too overhyped because he had a couple games his FR year where he played over his head
