Of recent ones, Happy Gilmore 2. Started out not that great, and just got progressively worse

Duke was asking for it, though. They played with fire a lot in the last several games and got burned

Agree. I know Duke did beat Michigan in the regular season but I never thought their peak level was anywhere close to Michigan/Arizona.

The team was basically Cam Boozer. I thought their team last year was way way way better. That’s the team that should have won it all. This years team was gonna lose to IL, or MI/AZ if they didn’t lose today

If he had elite talent he’d never lose. Just look at his back to back title teams.

This team doesn’t have much talent but they are a grindy team.

I expect them to possibly beat Illinois but lose handily to Arizona or Michigan. He’s gotten the most out of this group he just needs to bring in the studs.

If Flagg had went to UConn (which was his 2nd choice) he could have had a 3 peat

You mention Final Four but then oscillate right to mentioning Cal only having one NC. Cal

Bc you just said Cal got criticized for not winning enough. If he had won 3 titles instead of just one, he wouldn’t have gotten criticized at all.

If Scheyer only wins 1 title in 16 years at Duke, then like I said we can have this conversation. So far he has 1 FF and 1 EE in 4 seasons. FFs aren’t enough at either place.

Schuyer needs to start getting the heat Cal has gotten for years by winning less with more.

He literally got to the FF last year.

Cal won one ring in like 16 years.
If Scheyer is at Duke for 16 years and only wins one then we can have that conversation

Look at the clock at the inbound. They didn't even need to cross half court

They were trying to play keep away bc they had 1-1 FTs. If they were in double bonus I doubt they’d have tried to run the clock out by passing it.
I kinda feel bad for the shitty Boozer twin. Now he’s gotta live with that after riding his brother’s coattails

He’s a great coach. It took Billy Donovan and Jay Wright awhile to get over the hump as young coaches

Where's your proof she's Indian?

Literal visual evidence. I’m just gonna assume you are blind.

It's hilarious. JoeyP has no clue.

We know you hate that she’s isn’t black. That’s all this is.

I posted pictures and videos. Where’s your proof she’s anything other than Indian?

She’s a Hindu. Not a Dindu

It’s kinda odd Boozer twins are 5 inches different in height bc facially they look identical
To think Indiana could have had Cignetti and May…

Can someone tell me how Lindeborg is not the consensus #1 pick?

Bc he’s gonna be 24 years old before the next NBA season starts.

All the guys projected to go ahead of him are 4-5 years younger
Michigan should put their bench in. Tempting fate by leaving their main guys in
Michigan/AZ is the national title game
This is the real answer from actual people that aren’t talking out of their arse or think every tornado they see is an F5:

“Good question. Yes, the stunt is possible to do however there are a few factors that would need to be in place. #1. Tornados typically move over 25 mph so you would not be able to run directly into it from a side angle. You would need to have it coming directly at you and run towards it. Safety: Assuming the storm is traveling over a flat field with no debris other than grass/dirt being picked up, the chances of a projectile injuring you is minimal as long as you are wearing proper gear. And no, anyone claiming a projectile blown by winds of an F3 tornado has more force than a bullet shot from a gun is a retard. Yes, a bulletproof vest would prevent literally anything from puncturing your body. The most difficult part about this challenge would be maintaining balance and movement in extreme wind. Most strong athletic men can lean into hurricane force and higher winds. But a tornado would not have consistent winds you could lean into. They’d be more chaotic and most likely knock you off balance.

Why has this not been attempted? Well, it has happened inadvertently a few times and been captured on film. Recall the popular 1990s video that was filmed from under an overpass where a tornado went directly over the person filming. But again tornados are difficult to get in front of due simply to road accessibiliy and they move fast. Being in position to do an “on the foot” intercept in an open field requires moving your car to safety along with pinpointing the exact spot a tornado will pass over. Very difficult. Will it happen one day? Probably.

Drove the boat through a waterspout the other day does that count?

Absolutely does. Doesn’t sound like you were hurt either.

quote:

Wait…you think a tornado would just knock you over? I can’t honestly tell if this is a joke now. It’s gotta be and if not, wow. Even if it doesn’t lift you up hundreds of feet and toss you half a mile away, you think safety gear would protect you from a tree trunk slamming into you? How about a ford f-150? What kind of gear would protect you from a roof being dropped on you? This is the dumbest thread and I can’t believe I even took the time to reply.

You people are fricking retarded and know nothing about physics.

The stunt is possible.
99.999% of people involved in tornados do not die.

Weatherman quite often lean into 90+ hurricane force winds. I’ve seen this multiple times. Not one is wearing safety equipment and no one has ever gotten hurt doing that.

That’s a fact.

All this thread confirmed is that the common intelligence level on TD must think Twister is a real movie and every tornado is an F5.

Sorry I asked.

quote:

Yeah man, the unstoppable force of nature that turns neighborhoods to toothpicks can't hurt you if you've tied pillows to yourself and strapped on an old football helmet.

I’m talking professional safety gear. Bullet proof vest etc. To be as safe as possible,

You act like everyone that is in their house, who almost are never wearing safety gear and have stuff flying around them dies. Very few do and nearly all survive.

This stunt is possible. It’ll just take the right person and gear to attempt it. The most difficult part isn’t the safety aspect, it’s the physical ability to still move on your feet without getting knocked down or rolled by the forces of the wind.

A compromise to this stunt would be to lay in a ditch and film as Tornado passes over you. That is easily possible and to do it safely. Even tornado safety protocol says to get in a ditch if no other shelter

quote:

We usually just call that suicide

If you are wearing safety equipment to protect head and body from flying debris you definitely are not dying in anything F3 and under

Daredevil stunts that nobody has tried

I have one in mind given its Storm chasing season.

What if you put on a helmet along with other safety gear, and wore a go pro type body camera, and ran directly into a tornado. On foot. How close would you get? Could or would anyone do it? Would you do it for some amount of monetary compensation? I’m honestly surprised this has never been attempted.
