FOX Sports’ Nick Wright filled in on the "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" show this week and went on a rant about how he thinks LSU running back Leonard Fournette "should not play another down of college football.”

LSU head coach Les Miles revealed Tuesday that Fournette suffered a sprained ankle during the team's scrimmage.

So, this is what it's coming to? Maybe I'm selfish, but if this would become the norm...college football as we know it will sadly become less attractive. JMO

It's actually them who are selfish wanting badly for him to sit out the season, and a guy like Fournette, who is the ultimate hometown kid, isn't like that. The funny thing is that this wasn't nearly as big of a deal with Clowney or anybody else. Where are the, "Watson, McCaffrey, Garrett, etc," should sit out people? Don't remember them telling Mariota or Luck to sit out either, and both could have gone top 3 overall as JRs. The conspiracy theorist in me thinks people really don't want Fournette playing for LSU this year. I mean Gurley was suspended and had a season ending knee injury as a junior, and still went 10th overall. Not only would Fournette still be a top 10 pick with an injury, he has 2 insurance policies in case anything does occur.

Nick Wright shouldn't host another minute of sports radio.

Let's say Fournette were to sit out this upcoming college football season. He would get crushed by the NFL draft personel for his lack of commitment to his team and they would question his desire to play the game. Nick Wright is an idiot.

Logical argument but I bet this guy has never played sports. LF7 is a champion and would never quit on his team.

Funny, no one said this crap about McCafferey or Henry last year, and they were Heisman candidates. Swidt?

Newsflash from sports media experts: Apparently, the best players of a sport should avoid actually playing the sport.

LSU has a player out for the season with an ACL Injury that he got in a Non Contact Drill. You cannot plan on what is going to happen!! Like the Kicker that was killed in a Car Accident.

Competitors compete....that's why they excel. The NFL doesn't want pussies who are afraid to play the game they are going to give them millions to play. Cause that's the same kind of a-hole who shuts it down after he gets that first huge contract

Maybe LF actually loves LSU and pride in representing LSU and actually WANTS to play for the Tigers. Hard concept for these "shock" journalist that some people actually have pride in something.

Obviously, LSU must be on his college team's schedule. Get over it dude! He gonna play this year and he's gonna drop 200+ yards on your team. Except it and move on...
