Former LSU offensive lineman and NFL veteran Andrew Whitworth is retiring after 16 seasons in the league.

A native of Monroe, Louisiana, Whitworth played at LSU from 2001 to 2005 and won the BCS National Championship with the Tigers in 2003.

He was selected in 2nd round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals where he played until 2017 when he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams. Whitworth was named the 2021 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year this past February just before winning the Super Bowl with the Rams.
