Former LSU cornerback Ashton Stamps committed to Arizona State on Tuesday.

Stamps, a junior from Harvey, La. (Rummel HS), only appeared in three games this past season and slipped down the depth chart behind sophomore PJ Woodland and true freshman DJ Pickett.

He started all 13 games last season as a sophomore and played 11 games with four starts as a true freshman in 2023.

What a loser. Leaving home state because youre scared. Pickett will be gone next year

He dropped off the depth chart entirely. Just not athletic enough to compete in the SEC. Hopefully moving down a level works out for him. He’s been nothing but good to LSU and played hard even when he was physically outmatched by SEC WRs.

I was really high on him coming into this season and I hate that he left as he could’ve been a good asset to keep. I’m surprised he ended up there of all places but happy it’s not somewhere we have to play him and he balls out.

Man, I hope there's only this much turnover because of the coaching change. If this is the new norm, it's exhausting.
