Dae'Quan Wright, Zxavian Harris Planning More Legal Action Against SEC, NCAA

The legal battle involving Dae'Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris isn't over just yet.

According to The Advocate, attorney Tony Clayton said Tuesday night that the players' legal team plans to pursue legal action against SEC commissioner Greg Sankey, the SEC and the NCAA — but not LSU.

Clayton believes the SEC and NCAA essentially forced LSU to move on from Wright and Harris after the Tigers filled their final two roster spots with Gabriel Reliford and Aidan Anding.

He also claims the conference's handling of the situation has damaged Wright and Harris' reputations and hurt their potential NIL value.

"They completely destroyed the character of these players, the credibility of these players," Clayton told The Advocate, adding that the SEC put a "scarlet letter" around the neck of the athletes.

Wright and Harris had previously won a preliminary injunction allowing them to pursue another season of college football, but LSU's roster is now full at the 105-player limit.

It boggles the mind that any judge or jury would not see that the SEC's actions are motivated by personal vendettas. Complete double standard.

Sankey makes $4.8m/year.
He knows the CFP and SEC football is dead and is trying to preserve that juicy salary as long as possible. This lawsuit is his nuclear option.

I hope they start a Go Fund Me for their legal defense… I’d chip in. Action has to come from the “student athletes” (or the former ones in this case) or nothing will ever change. Getting sued by the student athletes the SEC/NCAA supposedly care so much about is a terrible look for them and the perfect counter punch to Sankey’s attempted flex on LSU and LK. I hope they keep Sankey on the stand for 8 hours in the next hearing!!
