Brian Kelly spoke with reporters after practice on Wednesday and was asked about LSU's deep wide receiver room heading into the 2025 season.

The Tigers return Aaron Anderson, Chris Hilton, Zavion Thomas, Kyle Parker, and others from last year's squad. LSU also added transfers Barion Brown (Kentucky), Nic Anderson (Oklahoma), and Destyn Hill (Florida State).

The depth gives Brian Kelly the deepest receiver room that he has ever had:
quote:

"We have eight SEC high-caliber receivers," Kelly said. "These guys are really good football players. It's incumbent upon us to put them into a position to succeed, for themselves and our team."

"When you have that kind of depth, you can lessen the player load for these guys across the board to keep them fresh. What we have told them is that it's: "1A, 1B." And we are going to be rolling guys in and out."

"It's the deepest receiver room I have had. Now it's time to go play."
Kelly was also asked about some of the new receivers that can help in the vertical passing attack:
quote:

"We have guys that can run. Chris Hilton is healthy and has had a great offseason. He's much more assertive as a player. Add in Barrion Brown. You have two guys who can play that X-position and run past anybody... whether it's a go, a post, a dig. And that is an incredible weapon. They are going to get a lot of touches and a lot of snaps."

"And then there is Aaron Anderson, who is the ultimate playmaker. We have Kyle Parker, whom I am really high on. I think he's going to have an incredible year. Now you can add Kyle Parker to the slot. In the boundary, you have Zavion Thomas. We have Nic Anderson, and so on..."

"The real deal is that we are going to get over the top of a lot of defenses with those two guys (Hilton and Brown)."

Wont matter that much if we can’t run the ball.
