LSU coach Lane Kiffin made his way to New Orleans on Thursday and stopped at Brother Martin High School to visit with five-star wide receiver Easton Royal.

Royal, a 5-11, 190-pound wideout, is rated the No. 1 player in the state and considered one of the top wide receivers in the country for the class of 2027.

Royal recently competed in the 2026 Under Armour All-America Game and was name most valuable player. During the game, Royal hauled in a spectacular one-handed catch...

Royal is currently committed to Texas, giving the Longhorns his verbal pledge back in November over LSU, Ole Miss, and Oregon. Expect Kiffin and the Tigers to heat up his recruitment.

For more info on Royal, visit his profile page on our 2027 Recruiting Tracker.

This will be a good test to see if Lane can close the fence around New Orleans and Louisiana. An absolute must get!

That would really suck if a player from my Alma Mater went to Texas. Man up Royal and commit to the Boot! LSU is in great hands now.
