LSU officially announced the signing of Arizona State transfer quarterback Sam Leavitt on Monday evening.

Leavitt committed the Tigers on Monday morning over Kentucky, Tennessee, and Miami.
The 6-2, 205-pound quarterback from West Linn, Oregon, played in seven games this past season before suffering a season-ending injury on Oct. 25 against Houston. During those seven games, Leavitt passed for 1,628 yards, ten touchdowns, and three interceptions.
During his redshirt freshman season last year, Leavitt led the Sun Devils to a Big 12 Championship and CFP playoff birth. He passed for 2,885 yards with 24 touchdowns and six interceptions in 2024. He also rushed for 443 yards with five rushing touchdowns.
Leavitt began his college career at Michigan State but only played in four games as a true freshman in 2023.
