Multiple sources are reporting that five-star offensive tackle Weston Davis has flipped his commitment from Texas A&M to LSU.

The Beaumont, Texas native originally committed to the Aggies on June 26 but is now on board with the Tigers. He is rated the No. 3 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 4 overall player from Texas, according to On3.

LSU has 26 verbal commitments for the class of 2024 with the addition of Davis.

When 5 star players join a 5 star coach in a 5 star culture, good things will happen. Keep an eye on this young man.

Nothing better than taking from A&M.
May he exceed expectations.

Would love to add a few big men on the D-line too.

If you look back at last 10 years we have a lot of 3 stars who make it big time. Yeah we have had some great 4-5 stars but many flame out. Plus I believe team chemistry is very important and it’s hard to build with a bunch of overrated 4 stars.

He’s not a five star he’s a four star.

Wait he’s not even ranked in 247. Did he lose all his stars when he bailed on eATMe? Or did they vanish when he committed to us?

I have looked on every recruiting service and he is listed as a 4 star. Did I miss something?

5 star on 0n3. Just look there and it'll show you the composite ranking and what ranking he is on each service.

When A&M was #1 in Recruiting a few years ago, someone researched what that meant. They said on average if you have the #1 spot you win a natty within 3 or 4 years, if I recall. So, yeah, the stars/rankings does matter a bit.

You really think A&M has a natty ANYWHERE in their future?!

Yes they do asshat. Ever heard of the Junction Boys douche nozzle? They had the #1 recruiting class then as well. Just doubling down now so it’s coming. BE PATIENT!!!!!

Go look at the list of overall #1 recruiting classes and see how many times it isn't Bama or UGA. Florida had one back in 2010 and it was a disaster. Pure disaster about like TAMU is heading.

LSU’s recruiting rankings haven’t moved yet. No 5 star commitments posted. Currently 6th On3, 7th 247 & Rivals is 11th. Should put LSU in top 5
