LSU Adds QB Jake Broggi To The 2016 Class As Preferred Walk-On

Jake Broggi, a 6-4, 190-pound quarterback from Brother Martin in New Orleans, LA announced Monday that he will be joining the LSU football team as a preferred walk-on. He spoke with SEC Country about his decision:
quote:Broggi is Brother Martin's all-time leading passer in school history and threw for 2,837 yards and 28 touchdowns last season.
“I went up to LSU today to make it official,” Broggi told SEC Country. “It means a great deal to me be an LSU Tiger because I would watch LSU football growing up and always dreamed of playing for LSU one day.”
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound quarterback did not hold any other scholarship offers, but had preferred walk-on offers from TCU, Louisiana-Lafayette and Memphis.
