Elite four-star wide receiver Jermaine Burton from Calabasas, CA announced Saturday afternoon that he has committed to LSU.

The 6-1, 193-pound prospect chose the Tigers over Georgia, Alabama, Miami, and many others.

Burton is rated the No. 7 wide receiver in the country and the No. 7 overall player from the state of California for the class of 2020. He becomes LSU's third commitment from the Golden State, joining five-star cornerback Elias Ricks and three-star defensive tackle Jordan Berry.

LSU now has a total of 12 verbal commitments for the class of 2020 with the addition of Burton.

Man...Burton's film reminds me very much of Jamarr Chase. He is almost a complete carbon copy of Jamarr Chase and then when he did that flip in that commitment video, then I knew for sure he was a Jamarr Chase clone. As prior to Burton, the only other football player I saw do that was Jamarr Chase. In fact, Jamarr Chase and Jermaine Burton were almost the same exact size when they each committed to LSU. Anyway, welcome aboard Jermaine Burton.
