Former Texas A&M cornerback Denver Harris is announced his commitment to LSU on Thursday evening.

Harris, a former five-star prospect from North Shore High School in Houston, Texas, appeared in five games during his freshman season this year before he was sidelined due to discipline issues.

Harris comes to Baton Rouge with three years of eligibility and is likely a day one starter at cornerback.

He will have something he did not have at aTm; an adult in the room coaching and mentoring him!

More about NIL money than Pride. This is the new NCAA college football recruit process. Unfortunately. The good old days are gone. GEAUX TIGERS!

So transfers come down and do the whole suiting up, holding the trophies thing just like the freshman do...or is that a stunt double?

I noticed the Heisman pose in his profile as well, and I guess I'm just old school or whatever. But these kids today just show off way too much, they don't know what humble pie is whatsoever. Everyone's a star coming out of highschool in their minds or from wherever. Smh

This should be a wash with Ricks. Bidding wars suck.
This is the new reality.

Who among us has not made a stupid mistake early in life that we learned & moved on from? Everyone deserves a second chance...and I'm hoping that Brian Kelly can steer this young man down the right path. I say, "Welcome aboard, young Tiger!"

Interesting video and “song” selection. I’m curious to know who gives final approval of things like this?

We live in the day of NIL. Lots of last minute deals made. Except Young and Anderson working on one now to determine their next step. Here some portal qb’s looking at last year deal for 3to5 million offers.

Ricks followed his cousin Elias to Alabama. Elias badmouthed LSU to him.

I see you are an Arkansas fan. So your opinion regarding anything relating to SEC football is worthless.

Young man, this is the best decision you’ve made in your life.

CBK, keep the upper 4.5 - 5 star talent flowing.

As far as LSU announcing it early I subscribe to the opposite theory as to why: BK stated this time belongs to incoming freshman is why Harris announced today to give Ricks the floor tomorrow

Hopefully he has been vetted to reasonably assure he will not continue his immature behavior in BR.

He did some knuckleheads stuff. I think a good amount of that was clearly a cultural issue within that program. I think he'll be fine.
