Elite five-star cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. from Baton Rouge unveiled his top six schools over the weekend and included LSU in the mix.

His top schools are LSU, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Michigan, and Stanford.

The 6-0, 175-pound prospect from Dunham School was a one-time LSU verbal commit but reopened his recruitment last April. He is rated the No. 1 cornerback in the county for the class of 2019, according to Rivals.

If you plan on living in Louisiana after his run through college and possibly the NFL Stanford doesn't help as much as LSU. He just needs to choose a solid major and gain an education. Not just be on the stay eligible plan which doesn't really work toward a degree.

I’m sure he’s a good kid. But, I’m done with the “look at me” posts social media has created.

I would, for the world class education. Best university in the US, probably the world.

if LSU loses all these instate kids to bama then O has issues. Cant keep losing top instate talent to a rival. I have a bad feeling this may happen.

Dude, you can't make an 11th hour Bama commitment if they're not one of your "top schools."
