UCLA power forward transfer Shareef O'Neal, the son of former LSU and NBA star Shaquille O'Neal, has committed to LSU.

O’Neal played in 13 games at UCLA this season averaging 2.2 points and 2.9 rebounds during his redshirt freshman year. He announced January 22 that he was transferring out of the program.

The former four-star prospect was rated the No. 8 power forward in the country coming out of Crossroads High School in Los Angeles.

Should have been here from the start. Shareef will be loved here, no matter how much he contributes.

Only played about 10 min per game. He redshirted last season due to a heart condition

"in 13 games at UCLA this season averaging 2.2 points and 2.9 rebounds during his redshirt freshman year" will need some guidance/development

in fairness, no playing time is listed. Imagine him beefing up some also.

I think if he gets enough credits in the summer and fall he should be eligible at one year after he last played for UCLA, which was January 15th. Since he redshirted his first year, he can’t redshirt again so he’s losing a year next year whether he plays or not.
